Ingredients
Coriander Seed, Cayenne, Turmeric, Pepper, Cumin Seed, Fenugreek Seed, Fennel Seed
Recipe
Ingredients:
- 4 tbsp butter/ghee (60 g)
- 2 medium onions, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped (2 tsp minced garlic)
- 2 tsp ginger, finely chopped (2 tsp minced ginger)
- 2 tbsp Durban Express Curry Masala
- 1 kg (2.2 lb) Beef, diced (or any Meat, Fish or Vegetables)
- 1 cup coconut cream
- Salt to taste
Method:
Melt the butter and add the onion, garlic and ginger. Sauté until the onion is soft. Lower heat, add the Durban Express Curry Masala, mix well, frying until aromatic. If the mixture is too dry, add a small amount of water to enable the spice to fry. Turn up the heat, add the beef and seal well. Add the coconut cream and salt.
Bring to the boil, then cook simmering until the meat is tender and the liquid has reduced.

Tried this for the first time – definitely won’t be last! Absolutely delicious and super easy – made it with chicken but would work with other meats or just vegetables. Lovely depth of flavours and just right amount of zing.

Love the flavour and balance of the curry sauce made with this powder

Nice curry with a heat of about 30/100 on my scale of curry heat. It goes well with beef and would also pair well with lamb, goat or possibly gamey poultry. Very easy to make and as usual with all curry powders from Mudgeeraba spice a jar goes a long way.

I have used these curries for many years and was suggested to try this one at Sydney Show a couple of years ago. I use a lot of it and have used with meats plus fish. Just got 2 more jars and taking one on Holidays with me so easy to make.
