2 reviews for South Indian Apricot Chutney Mild (460g)

  1. Greg (verified owner)

I tried this while at Floriade and the taste was unbelievable. Fantastic.

  2. Cate Anderson (verified owner)

Very impressed with this chutney. Mild as advertised, however, the flavour was extraordinary. I’m so pleased to note you advise NOT to refrigerate your products. Totally unnecessary, I always smile when I see honey, Vegemite, high sugar/salt products in fridges.

Pink peppercorn is actually a berry from a Brazilian Pepper Tree, while not a true peppercorn its called one due to its similar size and shape like a black or white peppercorn.  Its flavour is reminiscent of a little berry with a punch of heat inside.  Lighter in pepper flavour, it goes nicely when mixed with white, black and green peppercorns for a good pepper-steak gravy.  Also used for flavouring fish recipes, risotto, vinegars and even gin making.

cardamom pods black (Elaichi)

Cardamom Pods Black (Elaichi) (10g)

Origin: India

Black cardamom is great for typically more bland dishes like lentils.  It elevates lentils and rice dishes in a subtle way without being over the top.  Slightly fry them to release the aromas into your dish and remove before serving.  With a sharp aroma and almost menthol flavour this does well balanced with sweet and spicy additions such as cinnamon, peppercorns or chillies.
