Aniseed powder is a spice made from the ground seeds of the anise plant. It has a licorice-like flavor and is commonly used in cooking and baking. It can be used to flavour desserts, such as cookies and cakes, as well as savoury dishes like soups, stews, and sauces. It is also used in some alcoholic beverages, such as absinthe and ouzo. Aniseed powder is believed to have some health benefits, including aiding digestion and relieving coughs and colds.
This sauce has a fresh and zesty flavour thanks to the unmistakable, awesome flavour of the world’s most popular chilli – the Jalapeno mixed creatively with Green Tomatoes, Fresh Onion and Garlic.
How to use:
To make amazing Satay Sauce, simply add 5 tbsp (100g) of Sambal Kachang Satay Sauce Paste to 200ml of Coconut Cream and 1tbsp (20ml) of Soy Sauce. Bring to the boil, stir well to combine, then it’s ready to serve.
For a creamier texture, blend slightly after boiling – just enough to still leave chunky peanuts in the sauce.
For a milder heat, add an extra 50ml of Coconut Cream to the above recipe.
Alternatively, add 1 tbsp of Sambal Kachang Satay Sauce Paste (or to taste) to any stir fry.
Red Indian Curry Masala Hot (30g) offers a bold and spicy blend that’s perfect for creating dishes with a kick. This masala is ideal for those who love their curries hot and packed with flavour, bringing a piece of Indian heat to your table.

Dried Sage leaves/Flakes
A perennial herb from the mint family, sage’s fresh and slightly camphor aroma makes it a must in poultry stuffings, and a lively addition to soups and sausages. Only use half as much as dried as your would normally use for fresh.
Mustard Seed (Rai) Yellow Ground offers a tangy, slightly spicy flavour ideal for dressings, marinades, and seasoning blends. Its bright taste and fine texture blend smoothly into dishes, adding depth and warmth.
Raj Express Curry Masala Mild (30g) is a mild and aromatic blend that’s perfect for everyday curries. It provides a subtle warmth and depth of flavour, making it suitable for all, including those who are less fond of spicy food.
Prunes, dried plums, are rich, sweet, and chewy, offering a natural sweetness and depth to dishes. Ideal for baking, cooking, or as a healthy snack, they’re also known for their digestive benefits.
Onion Salt combines the pungency of onion with the sharpness of salt, making it a versatile seasoning for enhancing the flavour of meats, vegetables, and savory dishes.
This is a Tandoori spice blend that is made into a marinade with some yoghurt, oil, lemon juice, ginger and garlic paste, and pinch of salt.
Marinate some chicken and BBQ or cook under the grill. Excellent served with rice, Naan bread, raita, chutney and kachumbar (Indian salad).
