What is Bunnychow?
Bunny chow is a South African fast food dish that originated in the Indian community of Durban. It consists of a hollowed-out loaf of bread filled with curry. The bread used is typically a white bread loaf, and the center is scooped out to make space for the curry filling, which can be made with various ingredients such as chicken, beef or veggies.
Bunny chow has a unique history, believed to have been created by Indian immigrants in Durban who needed a convenient way to carry their lunch to work. The dish has since become a popular street food in South Africa and is enjoyed by people of all backgrounds. Bunny chow is often eaten with one’s hands, tearing off a piece of the bread to scoop up the delicious curry filling. It has evolved over time with different variations and spice levels to suit different tastes.
Also this curry can be cooked using any kind of liquid i.e. coconut milk, water, tomatoes, cream, yoghurt, sour cream etc.
Best used for cooking any kind of meat, seafood, vegetables or lentils.

The Chinese prickly-ash tree produces reddish-pink berries with little dark seeds that have a citrus aroma, spicy flavour and tongue-numbing affects. Commonly used in Sichuan cooking, they are stir-fried or braised and can be used to make a delicious spicy oil.

As a medium-heat Louisiana-Style splash-on Pepper Sauce the refreshing sourness of Holgate’s Hop Tart Semi-Sour Pale Ale Beer is a match made in heaven with the Aji Limon Chilli (also known as the lemon drop pepper); a popular seasoning pepper in Peru known for its hot, citrus-like, lemon-flavour.
These chillies come in at around 30,000 Scoville Heat Units.

This Sri Lankan Beef Curry is traditionally quite hot but we decided to take out all the chilli and make it quite mild – a family favourite.
This allows you to add your own chilli powder or fresh chilli and increase the heat to what you require to suit the needs.
This curry can be cooked with any meat, seafood or vegetables.
If you would like to change this curry back to its original, traditional heat, when cooking, instead of adding 2 tbsp of the Sri Lanka Beef Curry Masala to 1kg of meat, substitute this with 1 tbsp of chilli powder and 1 tbsp of Sri Lanka Beef Curry Masala.
