Traditional Queensland Mango & Lime Chutney Mild (430g)

A variation of our original traditional mango chutney.

Originating from Buderim, in Queensland, it has been a favourite among our customers since we first started business in 1993.

It features crystallised ginger and raisins and is a favourite for those who just love an ‘Aussie” chutney but now with a tropical Lime vibe.

Care instructions:

Do NOT Refrigerate EVER. Serve with a clean dry spoon and store in the pantry after opening.

This chutney will remain in perfect condition as long as you ensure there is no contamination from food or water particles.

Never return any unfinished portions to the jar or use a serving utensil used for anything else.

Serving Suggestion

One Teaspoon on the side of any curry of your choice is the perfect accompaniment.
Alternatively it is amazing with cold meats, cheese, pizza bases, steaks and sausages.
To make hors d’oeuvres use a savoury biscuit or corn chip with a dollop of sour cream and a tsp of chutney.

    An excellent rendition of this classic chutney, with the lime adding a nice sour note to the sweetness of the mango.

Origin: India

Turmeric is a flowering plant, Curcuma longa, of the ginger family, Zingiberaceae, the rhizomes of which are used in cooking.

There are 2 main types of turmeric, Madras is the more commonly used for cooking and has a curcumin value of around 3.5%.  The other variety is Alleppey (which is this one) and has a higher curcumin level of around 5-6% and is mostly used for the medicinal benefits.  Best used with black pepper, which contains piperine. Piperine is a natural substance that enhances the absorption of curcumin by 2,000%.

Alleppey is used to make Golden Paste, Golden Milk and also used in health drinks like smoothies or teas.  It can also be used in cooking.
