Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 3½ tbsp butter/ghee (50 g)
  • 2 medium onions, sliced
  • 6 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 5 tsp ginger, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp Malay Lamb Curry Masala
  • 1 kg lean Lamb, diced
  • 300 ml Coconut Cream
  • 1½ tsp Salt or to taste
  • 1 stalk Lemongrass, minced

Method:

Melt the butter and add the onion, garlic and ginger. Sauté until the onion is soft. Lower heat, add the Malay Lamb Curry Masala, mix well, frying until aromatic. If the mixture is too dry, add a small amount of water to enable the spice to fry. Turn up the heat, add the lamb and seal well. Add the remaining ingredients.
Bring to the boil, then cook simmering until the meat is tender and the liquid has reduced.

I have been using your products for many years and have always been more than happy and recommend them highly.

  2. Avi Solomon (verified owner)

After trying a few products decades ago, our firm favourite was Malay Lamb, which has never disappointed us since.

  3. Roxe (verified owner)

Really delicious. I usually soak some brown lentils and use that instead of meat. And I served sliced banana mixed with desiccated coconut as a side.

That sounds fantastic, made my mouth water, we’ll definitely be trying that little tip 🙂

Sambal Kachang (Satay Sauce) Paste Medium (390g)

This awesome paste is on sale. It has a Best Before Date of 29-Jun-2024. Still awesome and will stay that way for a long while if kept in the fridge. Hurry while stocks last.

How to use:

To make amazing Satay Sauce, simply add 5 tbsp (100g) of Sambal Kachang Satay Sauce Paste to 200ml of Coconut Cream and 1tbsp (20ml) of Soy Sauce. Bring to the boil, stir well to combine, then it’s ready to serve.

For a creamier texture, blend slightly after boiling – just enough to still leave chunky peanuts in the sauce.

Alternatively, add 1 tbsp of Sambal Kachang Satay Sauce Paste (or to taste) to any stir fry.
